A trip to discover the north of Tanzania: game drives in the world’s most famous parks (Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire) in search of the ‘big 5’, encounters with ethnic groups (Masai, Hadzabe, Datoga, Barabaig) that follow traditional lifestyles, UNESCO World Heritage archaeological sites (the hominid fossils of the Olduvai Gorge and the Kondoa Irangi rock paintings).

Meet and greet, followed by transfer to tranquil Arusha, surrounded by coffee plantations.

The impressive Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano, giraffe sightings and the Engaresero waterfalls.
Day 4: Sunday 20 September 2026
Lake Natron
Lake Natron, with its pink waters, and an encounter with the Maasai.
Day 5: Monday 21 September 2026
Lake Natron/Serengeti National Park
From the lands of the Maasai to safaris in search of the ‘Big 5’ in the Serengeti.
Day 6: Tuesday 22 September 2026
Serengeti/Olduvai/Lake Eyasi
One last safari before we head to Olduvai Gorge, where the human race began.
Day 7: Wednesday 23 September 2026
Lake Eyasi/Ngorongoro Conservation Area/Karatu
The Hadzabe hunter-gatherer tribe and the rhinos in the Ngorongoro Crater.
Day 8: Thursday 24 September 2026
Karatu/Tarangire National Park/Babati
Tarangire National Park, where you can encounter countless herds of elephants.
Day 9: Friday 25 September 2026
Babati/Kondoa/Babati
The mysterious rock paintings of Kondoa Irangi, animist shrines and a meeting with the Barabaig tribe.
Day 10: Saturday 26 September 2026
Babati/Arusha/Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO)
The weekly cattle market in Makuyuni and the continent’s largest gallery of African art.
