Special departure accompanied by volcano expert Luca Lupi, who, in addition to showing us the caravan cities of Cinguetti and Ouadane and the splendid scenery of dunes and oases, will take us to geological sites of great importance, such as the Beni Amera monolith, the Palaeolithic site of El Beyedh and the Richat structure (Guelb er Richat, also known as “the eye of the Sahara”).

Nouakchott/Akjoujt/Erg Amatlich
The immense dunes of Aouja, one of the most exciting sites in the entire Sahara.
Day 3:
Erg Amatlich/Tivoujar/Atar
From the golden dunes of Erg Amatlich to the rock formations of the Tivoujar Pass.
Day 4:
Atar/Choum/Railway/Beni Amera
The Beni Amera monolith, the sculptures from Aicha and the SNIM train, the longest (and slowest) in the world.
Day 5:
Beni Amera/Atar/Mont Ederg
Return to Atar and transfer to the north-east.
Day 6:
Mont Ederg/El Beyedh/Gallaouiya
The Palaeolithic site of El Beyedh and the rock paintings of El-Gallaouiya.
Day 7:
Gallaouiya/Guelb er Richat
‘The Eye of the Sahara’, the legendary Guelb er Richat.
Day 8:
Guelb er Richat/Ouadane/Tanochert/Chinguetti
The caravan town of Ouadane and crossing the Erg Ouarane to the oasis of Tanochert.
Day 9:
Chinguetti/Zarga/Aoulloul/Ichif
The stone mosque and libraries of Chinguetti, where you can admire ancient manuscripts.
Day 10:
Ichif/Terjit/Nouakchott
The paradise oasis of Terjit and the fish market in Nouakchott.
Day 11:
Nouakchott (NKC)/Return flight
