A marvellous crystal-clear sea of intense turquoise, the Red Sea, to be discovered with mask and snorkel, laps against the unspoilt shores of the Egyptian eastern desert, from where historical-archaeological sites from the Greek and Roman eras appear among the rocky heights, which, together with the natural beauty, make this strip of land to the east of the Nile Valley one of the most fascinating places in the country.
Crossed by ancient maritime routes of trade with the East, the Red Sea enchants with the beauty of its waters that give way inland to the desolate, sandy expanses of the eastern desert, once frequented by the Romans who pushed on as far as the mythical city of Berenice, on the borders of ancient Nubia.
An itinerary rich in experiences, splendid panoramas and interesting archaeological insights, in an unfrequented region of Egypt far from the most crowded tourist resorts.
