Guinea Bissau, whose most precious gem is the Bijagos Islands Archipelago, is a small treasure to be discovered. Here, water and land interpenetrate in a game of full and empty spaces, between estuaries of large rivers that are looking for a way to the sea and intricate mangrove labyrinths that hide remote villages where the inhabitants lives still according to the dictates of ancient traditions.

A journey in balance between naturalistic and cultural discovery that has as its destination a little-visited but fascinating country, where life flows slowly and relaxed, among expanses of rice fields, palm trees, cashews and mirrors of water that appear and disappear following the rhythm of the tides. In Bissau and Bolama, the ancient capital, Portuguese colonialism has left more testimony of itself, among decadent pastel-colored buildings and ancient palaces of a fallen but still very fascinating nobility. In rural villages, on the other hand, ancestral cults and animist rituals survive. Fetishes and spirits of nature that find their place in the sacred forests of the hinterland, as well as in the islands of the Bijagos Archipelago, an authentic paradise of unspoiled beauty, where people live in harmony with a rich fauna endemic to dolphins, sea hippos, ocean turtles and waterfowl.
