For those looking for new destinations and love to move away from tourist routes, an unprecedented trip to West Africa that winds between two countries with a tormented past, offering travelers a surprising liveliness ethnic and cultural and a generous and varied nature that offers landscapes of extraordinary beauty.
The itinerary kicks off from the bustling Freetown, squeezed between the ocean and mountains, and ends in Monrovia, with its decadent buildings and markets teeming with people and goods. The program includes sun and relaxation on two of the most beautiful beaches in all of West Africa, nature excursions and an overnight stay in the heart of the tropical forest to observe chimpanzees up close. And again, a journey through time and into the dark past of the slave trade, between ancient fortresses and colonial sites. A visit to the artisanal gold and diamond mines will allow you to observe the mining activity up close, while in the Mende villages we will come into contact with the initiation traditions of Bondo masks. Finally, once we cross the border, heading towards the sea, we will explore the town of Robersport, the “surfer’s paradise”, and a small river archipelago nestled between the lagoon and the ocean.
