There is a wide range of accommodation in Algeria, at least in the main cities of the north, where you can find luxury hotels of the big international chains, small comfortable and decent hotels comparable to a 2* or 3* of European standards, to the simplest and cheapest guesthouses.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Moving into the central and southern parts of the country,<\/span> the category and range of offerings visibly decrease, as does the quality\/price ratio. In cities such as Ghardaia <\/b>or Tamanrasset <\/b>there are state-run hotels, which are rather impersonal and have a large capacity, but in our opinion the small, privately run hotels are preferable, with all the comforts and more than decent, or the small, charming, local-style campements, which are clean and welcoming, even if many only offer shared bathrooms.<\/p>\r\n

Overnight accommodation on Mount<\/strong> Assekrem is a separate issue<\/b>. Here there is only one very spartan refuge, with dormitories equipped with simple mattresses and very basic external toilets. But the most beautiful sunset and sunrise in the world will amply repay the small inconveniences.<\/p>\r\n

Djanet <\/b>is the town that has the least to offer in terms of quality and quantity of services, with few hotels and campements available and poorly maintained.
