Far from the usual tourist routes, discovering a sunny, arid and geographically and culturally isolated territory where populations live according to ancient animist beliefs, in a daily life modulated by the custom and rhythms of nature, between propitiatory rites and sacrificial ceremonies.

An itinerary that leads to the heart of the Sahel, in the mountainous region located at the extreme southeast of Senegal. There live the Bedik and Bassari, animist populations still faithful to the cult of fetishes and spirits of ancestors, patron genes of straw and stone villages. Villages in which existence flows slowly, punctuated by the cycle of seasons and human times, which from childhood enters adulthood through complex initiation rites in which the whole village participates, in a festival that is repeated every year in spring. Not far away, there is the Niokolo-Koba Park, a Unesco heritage site, where you can spot wildlife, and the Fathala private reserve, for a safari among hippos, giraffes and lions.
