A journey that takes us to ancient Nubia, the “Land of the Black Pharaohs”, the cradle of a sophisticated civilisation that developed from 3000 B.C. onwards and for centuries rivalled Egypt in wealth and splendour. Today, an archaeological heritage of immense value remains from this glorious history, easily accessible to travellers interested in exploring the little-trodden paths of this surprising territory, which fascinates for its treasures and conquers for the genuine hospitality of its inhabitants.
Travelling in Sudan is a bit like feeling like a pioneer in a land that has not yet been fully explored. A land thousands of years old with ancient Nubian houses with painted doors and archaeological treasures that you can touch. Temples and pyramids that you don’t visit but experience, exploring them undisturbed in order to admire the well-preserved ancient bas-reliefs and hieroglyphics up close. Our itinerary winds its way through royal necropolises hidden behind huge apricot-coloured sand dunes, underground tombs in brilliant colours, imposing monuments peeping out from the green palm groves along the Nile, and the majestic ruins of imperial cities that hark back to a distant history in which Sudan played a leading role.
