An itinerary suspended in time between the dunes of the Sahara and the waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Discover ancient caravan cities, prodigious oases, solitary mosques, fascinating libraries surrounded by sands and mysterious monoliths. Until you reach Nouadhibou with its ship cemetery and descend along the coast towards Nouakchott, crossing the splendid Banc D’Arguin Park.
A journey that has the flavour of exploration and allows you to combine the magical Saharan atmosphere with the exciting views of the Atlantic coast. From a warm heart of majestic sand dunes drawn by the wind, rocky landscapes, canyons, cliffs, splendid valleys with lush oases and ancient caravan towns that preserve precious manuscripts, to the spectacular encounter of the desert with the ocean, where the force of the waves fights the advance of the sands and the dunes surrender to the sea. On the coast, a real jewel is the Banc d’Arguin Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site), where myriads of migratory birds winter and breed. This is one of the most beautiful corners of paradise along this uninhabited and wild coastline.

Nouakchott/Akjoujt/Erg Amatlich
The immense dunes of Aouja, one of the most exciting sites in the Sahara.
Day 3 :
Erg Amatlich/Tivoujar/Atar
From the golden dunes of Erg Amatlich to the rocky conformations of the Tivoujar pass.
Day 4 :
Atar/Amogjar/Chinguetti
The rock paintings of Agrour and the libraries of Chinguetti.
Day 5 :
Chinguetti/Ouadane/Chinguetti
Through the Erg Ouarane to the oasis of Tanochert and the caravan town of Ouadane.
Day 6 :
Chinguetti/Terjit/Atar
The paradisiacal oasis of Terjit, for a regenerating bath in its waters.
Day 7 :
Atar/Choum/Tmeimichat
The monolith of Beni Amera and the sculptures of Aicha.
Day 8 :
Tmeimichat/Nouadhibou
The SNIM train, the longest (and slowest) in the world, and the ocean view at Cap Blanc.
Day 9:
Nouadhibou/Cap Tafarit
The Banc d’Arguin park, an ornithological reserve to be discovered by sailing boat.
Day 10 :
Cap Tafarit/Atlantic Coast
The Imraguen fishing villages and the sumptuous landscapes of the Atlantic coast.
Day 11 :
Atlantic Coast/Nouakchott
The harbour of Nouakchott, with its bustle of multicoloured pirogues.
Day 12 :
Nouakchott (NKC)/Return flight
